Weatherstrip Jointing System

A system has been introduced for joining (rubber welding) multiple pieces of strip called Gitec, manufactured by Tecnofive. This system allows welding for profiles having sections up to a maximum of 120 x 40 mm. Using smaller sections, it is possible to carry out welding with more profiles at the same time.

One of the key features and advantages of the Gitec 2000 jointing system is a separator with a combined action to improve the welding quality. This separator was designed so that the profile surface does not get scraped prior to welding. An automatic cycle is offered for partial gripping for minimum distance between the upper and lower part of the die in order to allow an easy insertion of the profile before gripping it definitively. A completely programmable control system can be customized to a user's particular needs and requirements. All units are completely independent from one another, each containing an autonomous electrical board containing a Siemens PLC safety circuit for emergency stop and for control with two hands.
