Our Band Granulators by Sagitta are machines for the production of granulated uniform cube-shaped material. The size of the granules is about 3 to 15 mm on choice. Almost any caoutchouc compound, both, natural and synthetic, cam be granulated, as well as thermoplastics, various kinds of hard plastics, and other materials, provided they are ribbon shaped and have a certain stiffness. The cut is scissors-Like: the band granulator is composed of two sets of circular knives, which revolve in the opposite direction and are intermeshing. They convey the ribbon and cut it into strips. The width of the strips is proportional to the thickness of the circular knives. The strips reach the counterknife one beside the other and the knife cylinder cuts them to cubical shape. The granulated material then falls out of the machine, into a transport-container and is brought by this, or by means of various conveying equipment, to the utilization place or into the store.

The Sagitta band granulators are produced in five types, i.e. with a working width of 135 mm, 235 mm, 430 mm, 600 mm and 800 mm.
The type with 235 mm working width is available in two versions:
The SL for normal and hard working, the type UL for continuous and hardest employment. The machine with the 135 mm can be used as a laboratory machine, having a reduced intake width and a simple construction.
